Der 8-Jährige Maisha (Name abgeändert) wächst bei seiner Großmutter auf, da seine Eltern beide verstorben sind. Vor kurzem wurden seine Krankenhauskosten für einen 6-tägigen Aufenthalt von Kivuko übernommen. Er hatte Malaria und leidet an Unterernährung. Während der Behandlung fiel auf, dass Maisha noch gar nicht zur Schule geht. Das tansanische Kivuko-Team sprach daraufhin mit der Familie, die eigentlich auch alle die Wichtigkeit des Schulbesuchs sehen. Deshalb geht Maisha seit Kurzem in die erste Klasse der Grundschule seines Dorfes! Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Da die Familie sich kaum die Schulsachen leisten kann, wird Kivuko sie weiterhin begleiten, um sicherzustellen, dass Maisha dauerhaft zur Schule gehen kann.
